A day of environmental volunteering with the Deporte y Desafío Foundation

As part of their dedication to societal and environmental well-being—one of the key pillars of the company’s Sustainability Plan—they organized a Day of environmental volunteering in 2024 in collaboration with the Deporte y Desafío Foundation and several of its employees.
The Deporte y Desafío Foundation is a private nonprofit organization that promotes the social inclusion of individuals with functional disabilities (physical, intellectual, and sensory) through adapted sports and outdoor activities in an inclusive setting.
The event began at Puente de la Cantina, where participants were divided into four groups, each led by an experienced guide. The guides provided insights into the different types of waste that could be encountered along the route and distributed materials for their collection.
Following the Pesquerías Reales trail along the Eresma river, the group completed the route at Boca del Asno. In addition to collecting waste, participants learned about the region’s flora and fauna from the guides along the way.
This initiative was a memorable experience—not only for its environmental impact but also for the meaningful collaboration with the Deporte y Desafío Foundation and participants with disabilities from the A LA PAR Foundation. The dedication and solidarity of employee volunteers played a vital role in the success of the activity, making a tangible contribution to both the community and the environment.
